A beautiful hike through the Sonoran Desert with incredible views (including Red Mountain) and close to Mesa - who could ask for more?!

Butcher Jones Trail is a true desert oasis with gorgeous views of Saguaro Lake, Salt River, and the Sonoran Desert.

I assumed hiking around Phoenix would be similar to wandering through a vast, desolate landscape with sparse cacti... I.WAS.WRONG.
